What is Medicare?

​Retirement can be a complicated and scary time in our lives.  One thing we don’t want to do is make a mistake.  Whether you are retiring, changing plans or on Social Security Disability we are here to get you through this. Making a decision as to which way you want to go takes care and careful consideration. We go to lengths to get you through this process and make sure you are fully covered.

  • Medicare Part A – Hospital Coverage (Original Medicare) 
  • Medicare Part B – Medical Coverage (Original Medicare) 
  • HMO – A type of Medicare Advantage Plan (Part C) offered by a private insurance company. 
  • PPO – A type of Medicare Advantage Plan (Part C) offered by a private insurance company. 
  • Part D – (Medicare drug coverage) helps cover the cost of Prescription Drugs. 
  • Medicare Supplements – Also known as Medigap Insurance, this is extra insurance you can buy from a private health insurance company.
CARE Chest (a 501©3 nonprofit organization) provides free medical equipment, supplies (including incontinence supplies), diabetic testing supplies, independent living home modifications, supplemental medical nutrition supplies, and other vital medical resources to Nevada consumers at or below the 138% federal poverty line. We strive to continually improve the quality of life of individuals in need. CARE Chest has a strong 30+ year history serving Northern Nevada. We have a youthful history in Southern Nevada.
